Established in 1728 in the quaint village of Middleburg, our historic fieldstone Inn & Tavern embodies the Piedmont’s cultural heritage. Inspired by four centuries of Virginia Hunt Country tradition, The Red Fox Inn & Tavern is a must-see national landmark that offers hearty meals in an intimate tavern setting, romantic accommodations adorned with colonial decor, and unique spaces for weddings and social events.
The Red Fox Inn & Tavern is one of the nation’s oldest and most famous gathering places. Original heart pine floors and paneling, exposed stone walls, working fireplaces, and walls adorned with sporting art paired with traditional southern hospitality set the tone for distinct events. Our four story fieldstone Inn & Tavern can be customized in a variety of ways to accommodate unique weddings, elegant receptions, festive rehearsal dinners, and memorable celebrations.
This cozy space on the second floor of the Tavern boasts an Old World pub feel, features a full bar, a Pub Fare menu, and a more casual dining atmosphere. Join us in The Pub for a pre-dinner cocktail, to enjoy a few pints with your friends, or for a nightcap before a comfortable stay in one of our guest rooms.
Red Fox Fine Art is a leading gallery with over forty years of experience in the trade. Owner Turner Reuter is a field sport enthusiast with a passion for animal and sporting art. He has written and lectured extensively on the subject, and his expertise in the genre is highlighted by the publication of his book Animal and Sporting Artists in America, now in its second edition. Red Fox Fine Art is located in Middleburg, Virginia's historic district, on the second floor of the historic Red Fox Inn & Tavern.
